Can you believe summer break is almost over? We can’t either! We hope everyone had a relaxing break and are ready to get back to it next week!

Picnic and Espada THIS Sunday

Don’t forget – our annual LFC Kickoff Picnic & Espada is this Sunday, August 8, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Holmes Lake Park Shelter #3. Bring a dish and a non-alcoholic drink to share, and come dressed to join in our annual Espada Tournament, a one-touch, just for fun, tournament where the rules are different every bout. We will also be giving out our end-of-season awards!

Classes Begin Monday, August 9

Class registration for Session 1 is open now. Classes begin Monday, August 9, and we can’t wait to see you! Check out our class schedule and get registered at http://www.lincolnfencing.com/. Open fencing will also resume its normal schedule on August 9.

Equipment Care

With the start of the new season, we are revising our gear cleaning schedule to reduce the workload for coaches. Instead of washing jackets and gloves after every class, we will wash them at the end of each 6-week session. This means students will need to hang up their gear at the end of class rather than putting them in a laundry basket. We also ask that students wipe down their masks and weapons with a cleaning wipe after each use.

We do offer equipment rental and gloves for purchase. If you are interested in borrowing gear for the duration of the session, please contact your coach for more information.
